Frequently asked questions
The questions we get most often before a job starts.
How long does paint take to dry?
Dry to the touch: 2–4 hours. Recoat after 4–6 hours. Full cure (when you can wash the wall worry-free) takes 2–4 weeks. Modern low-VOC paints have almost no smell.
How much prep is really needed?
A lot more than it looks. Sanding, caulking, patching, priming where needed. 80% of a good job is prep work. This is the difference between a finish that lasts 2 years and one that lasts 8.
Can I stay home while you paint?
Absolutely. We use low-VOC paints (almost no smell). We cover furniture and floors, ventilate well, and clean up daily.
How do I choose the colour?
We help you decide, no pressure: we look at the natural light in each room, existing décor, and the effect you’re after. If you’re unsure, we can do test patches before painting the whole job.
How long does new paint last?
It depends on use and light. As a guide: interior 5–8 years, exterior 6–10 years. Prep work and paint quality make all the difference. We back our work with a 2-year warranty.
How do I pay?
We accept bank transfer and Bizum. We ask for a 20–30% deposit when you sign the quote and the rest on completion. For repeat clients we invoice monthly.
Are you OK with pets at home?
Yes. Let us know in advance so we can coordinate doors: we keep internal doors closed and warn you before opening the main door. The paints we use are safe around dogs and cats once dry.
